We didn’t start Wave because the world needed another paddleboard brand

We started it because most people who’d love to get out on the water never do.

For most of us, getting on the water is shorthand for hassle. A hard board you’ve nowhere to store. A roof rack you don’t own. A price tag that turns a summer idea into a someday plan. And a nagging worry that you’ll turn up, wobble off, and never touch it
again.

We thought that was nonsense.

So we built the opposite. Boards and kayaks that pack down into a bag, pump up in ten minutes, and are steady enough that a complete beginner can stand up on the first try. Since 2021 more than 4,000 people have reviewed them, at an average of 4.6 out
of 5 - most of whom would never have called themselves “paddleboard people.” We built the brand for them, and we’re still building it for them.

On the water, effortlessly

What we believe

Everything we make is built around one idea - that getting on the water should be effortless. These three convictions are how we get there.

Pack it, don’t store it.

The reviews say it all.

Made to be paddled.

First time out today, Crummock Water in the Lake District. Family loved it - I can tell we’re going to get lots of great memories from days out with it. Easy to set up, handles perfectly, even my 13-year-old daughter can manage the 11-foot SUP fine

Wave Journey

2021

The first boards go out - and the reviews start coming in.

Wave Watersports launches off the back of Wave Spas, built on the same conviction: the things putting people off getting on the water - storage, roof racks, big up-front cost - were the wrong problem to be solving. The first customer reviews land in the spring.

2022

The range grows beyond the board.

Paddleboards are joined by inflatable kayaks, canoes and a full kit list — pumps, paddles, bags, robes and safety gear -so a first-timer can buy everything for a day on the water in a single order.

2024

The 2.0 generation arrives.

The core boards are refreshed as a new generation - Cruiser 2.0, Woody 2.0, Tourer 2.0 and the Pro - tuned for stability first, so beginners feel steady from the very first paddle.

2024

Four thousand reviews, and counting.

Wave Watersports passes 4,000 customer reviews at a 4.6-star average, with more than eight in ten customers leaving five stars. The customers, as ever, get the last word.

2025

The all-new Wave 3.0 range arrives.

Our biggest step forward yet. The 3.0 range rebuilds the board from the ground up — stiffer drop-stitch construction for a rigid, hard-board feel that still packs into a bag, refined shapes for better glide and tracking, and upgraded kit throughout. The same easy-in, easy-out promise, made noticeably better on the water.

One more thing

We also make the UK’s highest-rated portable hot tubs under Wave Spas — our sister brand, run by the same two founders. Different kit, same principle: enjoy it without making a project of it.
