Last weekend, we took advantage of the glorious Autumn weather (what a difference a few days makes!) and visited Wave friend Master Debonair’s new store in York! It’s well worth popping in to if you’re in the area.
Whilst we were there, we couldn’t resist getting on to the River Ouse and checking out the city from the water. It was easy to get on to the water in front of York’s Rowing Club and we were lucky enough that there was a regatta on on Saturday, so we got to take in a few rowing races!
As we paddled through the heart of York, historic landmarks such as the York Minster, Clifford's Tower, and the city walls provided a stunning backdrop, creating a surreal blend of natural beauty and architectural grandeur.
There were lots of people on the water; rowers, kayakers and tourists on the city boat tours, so there was loads to take in on the way down the river.
What’s more, we got to do one of our favourite things – test a new board… The Tourer has always been one of our most popular boards and we got to try out the new 2024 model, keep your eyes peeled for that one coming early in the new year.
When we turned around, we certainly worked up an appetite paddling up stream into the breeze – why do you never notice a tailwind? So, what better way to finish the morning than with a stunning brunch at Rise, some of the best brunch we’ve ever had!
